Bedding, Backyard Burger, Movie Theatre, Basketball, Poppy's Birthday, and The Blind Side

Yesterday was a very exciting day. Mom and I went to Springfield. First, we went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to get Baylee some Bedding for college. She is going to MU (Missouri University). Then, we went to Backyard Burger and got something to eat. I got a hotdog. Next, we went to the movie theatre. We saw the movie called Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It was really funny, and the theatre was packed! Next, we went to my basketball game at the courts. We played against a team called the Sparks. They are really good, and beat us 7 to 22. But we only had 5 players and they had 9 or 10 players. After I finished my basketball game, Mom and I headed back to Bolivar to go to Poppy's birthday party at Nanny and Poppy's house. When mom and I first arrived, everyone was waiting for the pizza guy to come so they could eat. So, I handed out whistles that had peices of streamer on the end. We were all blowing them, and it was very loud. For our family's present to Poppy, we got him the movie The Blind Side. We got our family a copy, too! Later, we watched The Blind Side at Nanny and Poppy's house. Well, after we had cake and ice cream, of course! Everyone thought it was really good, so I highly reccomend it. It was a really good day!!! The End

Westward Movement, And Yet Getting Better

In class, we are doing something called Westward Movement. Everybody in the class is in groups of 4 or 5. I have 4 people in my group, counting myself. The people in my group's names are Zachary, Adrian, Michael, and Myself. Mrs. Nelson reads different scenarios out of a book. Then we have to do what the book says and make decisions as a group. Everybody has a different level of strength, common sense, negotiating skills, and hunting skills. Then we have to write a diary entry each day about what happened. It is a very fun unit. Dad just came home from the hospital to see Poppy, and he says Poppy is getting much better. That is very good, I think. I do hope that Poppy gets better soon. Now, it is 9:41, (off my watch) and it is past my bed time. Bye! The End

My Birthday in the Hospital

Today is my birthday!!! I am very excited. But, I am also a bit sad. I am sad because on Saturday, Poppy broke his hip at about 11:00 at night. Now, he is in the Hospital. But he is getting better. And.....since CMH in Bolivar isn't as big as St. John's in Springfield, I can go inside and acually SEE Poppy. I like when I get to see him and I think he likes to see me, too. Now, I will tell you what I got from my parents for my birthday.
Dad: A cool watch that glows in the dark, and a pair of binoculars that can take pictures.
Mom: A Volley Lite- A volleyball for my age, and a pair of spandex for playing games.
I loved what I got and I can't wait until Poppy is out of the Hospital and home and walking again. Get Better, Poppy!
